Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some key questions regarding On-Demand Courses and Live Webinars.
Online learning with CEH is simple.
Step 1: Register for a Course
To register for a course, select the course you're interested in, then click the blue “Register for a Course” button on the course details page. Complete the account information and payment method to complete your purchase. If you are a new student, complete your account setup by entering a password and your profession. If you are a returning student, sign in to your account to access your Dashboard. Visit your Dashboard to view your course(s), begin/resume your on-demand course(s), and/or access your live event at the designated time.
Step 2: Log into Your Event (For Live Webinar Events)
On the day of your live event, log in to your account or find the link in your confirmation email. Open the Live Event Course and look for the Zoom lesson. Join the event 5–10 minutes before the start time by clicking the “Join” button, which will open the Zoom webinar. Attendance is monitored to ensure eligibility for continuing education credits—participants must attend the entire session to qualify, as partial credit is not available.
Step 3: Complete the Course Survey
At the completion of a course, whether on demand or live webinar, there will be a post-event evaluation survey. Please complete all survey questions.
Step 4: Complete Post-Test Questions (For On-Demand Courses)
On-demand courses are accompanied by required post-test questions. Learners are required to complete all questions with a passing grade of 80%. Learners have up to three attempts to complete these questions with a passing grade.
Step 5: Access Your Continuing Education Certificate
Your Continuing Education certificate will be automatically generated in your account and will be accessible at any time following the completion of the aforementioned steps.
The availability of slides depends on the individual presenter and presentation content. If presenters have chosen to share handout materials, these materials will be available below the video content of the presentation.
To access these materials, click the “download” button so that you may view, download, or print the material. Please note that we cannot accommodate email requests for slides prior to live webinars.
Modules of learning must be completed in order to access post-test questions and a course evaluation survey.
When learning is complete, post-test questions have been successfully answered, and the course evaluation has been completed, a certificate of completion will be generated and available to you for viewing and downloading.
Make sure to click 'continue' underneath each lesson when it is complete.
It is up to the licensee to verify whether a training is acceptable for their state licensure board or other credentialing body. CEH is approved to sponsor continuing education programing by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program, the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Psychology.
Approvals are listed within the detailed description of each course for your review prior to registration. Please note that most licensure boards accept continuing education courses offered by approved sponsors such as CEH, but few state boards require individual course approvals.
CEH does not presently have individual course approvals. Please refer to your licensure Board for questions regarding your specific requirements.
No, we are not able to issue partial CE credits. Attendees must complete the training in full to receive a CE certificate. This is a requirement set by APA, ASWB ACE, NBCC, and NYS Ed, and no exceptions can be made.
Please note that we cannot accommodate requests for partial credit, even in cases of late logins due to time zone errors or technical issues.
No, everyone is welcome to attend! We love training students of all levels. We ask for a license number for logistical reasons during the registration process.
Our certificates of completion are auto-generated after the event, and having the attendee's license number in our database ensures the certificate includes the correct information.
If you don’t have a license, you can simply enter "unlicensed" or "N/A" in that field.
CEH’s learning platform uses the web-based software Zoom Webinars as its live event hosting tool. You do not need a Zoom account to join the webinar and you can join from your computer or mobile device.
As an attendee, the presenter will not be able to see your video or hear you unless they give you special permission during the webinar. Please note that events are listed in the Eastern Time Zone.
For best viewing, you may choose to attend from laptop or desktop computer running (Mac or PC), Android or iOS tablet or smartphone, or Windows PRO 2 or 3. Attendees will require wired or wireless internet connection (WiFi or 3G plus) and audio (soundcard of computer, plus speakers or headphones).
If attendance via laptop or desktop computer is not possible, you may choose to dial in and join the webinar by phone.
Please note the following requirements:
Why can’t I get into the webinar?
Once you have joined the webinar, you might see a message that states that the webinar has not yet started. The webinar will start once the presenter has joined and starts the meeting.
Please be patient while you are waiting for the webinar to start. Technical support will not be provided by CEH for any connection issues on the day of the training. CEH will not issue refunds due to technical issues experienced by participants.
What happens if my internet briefly freezes?
If you become disconnected during the event, log back on immediately. A brief interruption of connectivity will not impact your eligibility for a CE certificate.
Will there be a recording?
No, there will not be a recording or replay of CEH live webinars, although webinars may become available at a later date in the format of on-demand courses.
Will you know that I am logged in and active in the webinar?
Yes, Zoom’s platform monitors the attendance and activity of the attendees. Additionally, there will be a chat feature and various forms of participation monitored throughout the training.
Will I have to show my face on camera?
Zoom’s webinar platform does not capture participants on video unless specifically requested during the meeting by the host. Instead, participants will view the presenter and the presenter's slides on their screen.
Is there Audio?
Yes, the webinar will have sound. Please test that your device’s sound is working prior to the event.
CEH webinars are available to anyone with access to the internet. For those with vision impairment, visuals are described verbally and written content is read and discussed verbally as well. For more information regarding special accommodations or to request closed captioning, please contact us at [email protected].
In the unlikely event that CEH needs to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, all participants will promptly receive an email notification.
Participants will have the option to attend the rescheduled event, transfer to a different event at the same price, or receive a refund for their registration fee.
Feel free to contact us at: [email protected]
All registration sales for training events, whether live webinars or on demand courses, are final and are not eligible for refunds or transfers.
Refunds will only be issued in the event of a cancellation by CEH or to address specific grievances.
Please note that all webinar times are listed in Eastern Standard Time (EST). Participants are responsible for adjusting their schedules to account for time zone differences.
Refunds will not be provided for missed webinars due to time zone discrepancies.
CEH is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists, the NASW Code of Ethics (2017), the CASW Code of Ethics (2005), and the National Board for Certified Counselors Code of Ethics.
CEH will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of the Continuing Education Chair in consultation with the members of the continuing education committee.
While CEH goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the event staff which require intervention and/or action on the part of the event staff.
This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances. When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken:
1. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format. The CE Chair will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.
2. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, CEH’s CE Chair will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the CE chair will:
a) attempt to move the participant to another workshop or
b) provide a credit for a subsequent year's workshop or
c) provide a partial or full refund of the registration fee.
Actions 2b and 2c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.
3. If the grievance concerns CEH’s CE program, in a specific regard, the CE Chair will attempt to arbitrate. Please contact Dr. Marla Deibler at (856) 220-9672 or [email protected], or The Center or Emotional Health of Greater Philadelphia, 1910 Route 70 E, Suite 7, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003, to submit a complaint or if you have additional questions.
